Information for patients who live outside of Asheville, NC

Even if you live out of town, we may still be able to help!

Does this sound familiar:  You are sitting at your computer right now, searching for a local naturopathic doctor...and you realize that there are no naturopathic doctors in your town.  Or in your county.  Or in some cases, in your state!

Because naturopathic medicine is still a relatively small profession and there aren't a lot of us around (especially in the Southeast), it's not uncommon for us to get calls from people who realize Lewis Family Natural Health to be one of the closest naturopathic offices within a several hour drive.  We get calls from people in your situation all the time, and are able to successfully help many of you despite the distance.

We have many patients who live in Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, and Kentucky.  In fact, we have patients who live even further away--we've worked with patients as far away as California, Hawaii, and even Germany and Australia!

Until the time arrives when every city and town has a naturopathic doctor, we can be a resource for you in providing the naturopathic care you are seeking.  No matter where you live, we may be able to help!

How we work with patients over long-distances

In many situations we are able to work with patients who live a distance from Asheville.  Many of the naturopathic therapies we use do not require face-to-face contact to be effective.

Your first visit

If at all possible, we recommend that you come to Asheville in person for your first visit.  Sometimes this is not possible, and we may still be able to work with you.

Follow up visits

After that first visit, however, there are many options for how we can continue to work with you from the comfort of your own home via:

• Telephone appointments

• Skype and other web-based communication

• Email

• We ask to keep a credit card on file that will be charged automatically at the end of each telephone appointment.
  

• Recommended supplements and homeopathic remedies can be easily ordered and mailed to you from our office.  We offer a convenient online reordering system that works great for our out-of-town patients.  We regularly ship packages via US Postal Service (priority or express mail) to locations across the United States.
